The journalists informed that they contacted the Ministry of Defense with a request, and the department sent a document, part of which was shaded, “however, this data was easily restored.”
“According to the ministry, a human error was made when processing the document, which should not have happened. The declassified information related to defense procurement related to budget preparation. […] The ministry emphasizes that they take the mistake seriously,” explains Yle.
The media did not disclose the content of the shaded phrase, “since this information does not have significant public significance.”
The television and radio company showed part of the document in question.
The document is called “Preparation of the draft budget for 2026.”
