The bodies of two men were found on the bank of a river in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the North Yenisei region of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, on October 8, on the coastline of the Teya River, an overturned small boat with damage was found, next to which lay the bodies of two men. This was reported to the Transport Investigative Committee.

Now law enforcement officers are carrying out a set of measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances and causes of the incident; based on the results, a procedural decision will be made. For now started pre-investigation check for signs of a crime under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and operation of inland water transport).

Let us recall that earlier the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned that in October there remains a danger of accidents in the region’s waters due to the population’s failure to comply with safety rules, including when using small vessels while fishing and crossing river waters outside officially open crossings. In the northern regions, accidents with ice detachment involving people and equipment are possible.

Analyzing the statistics of previous years, rescuers predict the greatest risk of incidents with loss of life on the rivers Yenisei, Chulym, Valek, Angara, Mana, Kan, Velmo, Podkamennaya Tunguska, Nemka, Kheta, as well as on lakes Polone, Pyasino, Khargy, Vodopyanikha.
