– Mr. Pană, two new models complete the BYD range, presented at the Bucharest Auto Show. What can you tell us about them?
– Indeed, we launch two models. They are Plug-in Hybrid sedan, with byd-I technology, a technology developed by Byd. Basically, they are electric plug-in models: they also have a battery, and a thermal engine. Autonomies are over 1,000 kilometers for both. We have the SEAL 5 model, which is a compact sedan. It comes in two levels of equipment, customers can choose between four exterior colors and two interior variants. It has a 1.5 -liter engine and an electric motor.

– We are expecting pretty good sales. Plug-in models are a start for customers who are not determined to move directly to an electric motor, but still want the silence of an electric model. – Yes, I think that. There are customers who are not very familiar with the electric side, and after leading a plug-in model, most of the time, the next model they buy is full electric. Basically, the plug-in is a transition between the conventional and the fully electric model.
