Police officers are investigating fraud according to a new scheme, the victim of which was an 84-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk.

It was established that women allegedly called the intercom repair companies on the home phone and reported that she needed to name her passport data to accelerate the repair procedure. The next day, the Krasnoyarsk was called false law enforcement officers and said that she had previously talked with scammers who had already been caught, but she needed to declare all her money, and this can only be done in Moscow.

“Continuing communication with a woman, scammers at their own expense bought electronic tickets to Moscow and back, sending them to her mobile phone. In the capital of Krasnoyarsk, a taxi was called from the airport to the desired point where the man met her, called the code word that was agreed in advance, and she handed it to him OKolo 1 million 150 thousand rubles, ”said the State Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Currently, a criminal case has been instituted on this fact under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code, the investigation continues.

The police noted that recently in the Krasnoyarsk Territory there have already been recorded three cases of fraud according to this scheme.
