The Government of the Novosibirsk Region approved a large -scale expansion of the list of professions inaccessible to foreign workers since 2026. Such a resolution was signed by the first vice-governor of the region Vladimir Znatkov, the document is published on the official legal portal.

According to the new rules, a labor ban for migrants working on patents will spread to the areas of cargo transportation, sports activities, social canteens, retail alcohol and tobacco products, work in a taxi and preschool education.

Employers will be provided with a two -month transition period to bring the personnel in accordance with the new requirements. Control over the implementation of the decision is assigned to the vice-governor of Konstantin Khalzov.

Earlier it was reported that The State Duma of the Russian Federation plans to consider a bill introducing a ban on entry and stay in Russia for family members of labor migrants. The initiators of the idea predict that its implementation will reduce the level of migration by 15–20%, since the document will limit the possibility of moving families of unskilled workers. According to their calculations, this will lead to a decrease in the burden on social infrastructure and reduce budget expenditures for education, healthcare and social benefits.
