Polish law enforcement agencies handed over to Ukraine a 16-year-old citizen who, on behalf of the Russians, co-organized terrorist attacks from the European Union in his own country-said the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on Monday.

“SBU counterintelligence detained an underage agent of Russian special services, who from the European Union's territory searched for performers in Ukraine. Most of the people recruited by him turned out to be teenagers looking for easy earnings,” SBU said.
The detained person is a resident of Kharkov, who went “to one of the EU countries” in the autumn of 2024 – explained in the press release. “The detention was made on the western border of Ukraine, where it was handed over by Polish law enforcement agencies as part of forced return to Ukraine,” SBU emphasized. After leaving Ukraine to the EU, a young Ukrainian began to look for a job through the Telegram messenger. There he came to the field of interest of the Russians, who in time commissioned him to search for contractors of attacks in Ukraine.
“Two agents recruited by him-15-year-old residents of Kharkiv-in December 2024, an explosion near the police police stations in the Słobidska and Chołodnohir districts in this city,” SBU said.
The detainee also involved a 21-year-old who planted an explosive load near the Military Recruitment Center in Odessa. It was detained in the act – it was announced in a statement.
The 16-year-old handed over by Poland is in custody. He faces up to 12 years imprisonment with the confiscation of property.
