Prices for cherries, apricots, peaches and beets in the Russian market can increase significantly due to the mass death of the crop caused by severe frosts in the regions of the Russian Federation. The main thing about the situation:
– In Crimea, almost 100% of apricots died at local gardeners, cherries about 60%, frosts damaged peach, plum and black currant. The downturn of the crop yield is twice. Apple trees, pears and nuts were almost not affected.
– In the Kuban, spring frosts destroyed almost 50% of the bone fruits, plums came under the blow. Apple trees and pears were less affected – 15%.
– In Stavropol, about 50% of the harvest of fruit trees, which includes apricots, cherries, peaches and plums, is in danger of death.
-In Siberia, the Center, in the south, Urals and north-west of the Russian Federation, about 120k hectares (12%) of sugar beets were affected due to cold weather, the problem also affected the potatoes. They will be transplanted in mid -May.
-In the Belgorod region, an emergency mode was introduced due to the death of crops, fruits and berries.
– In the Voronezh region they are preparing to enter emergencies. Due to the injured crops in the square of more than 30k hectares, wheat, barley, rye and sugar beets were great damage. Gardeners died about 70% of berries and fruits.
