In the G. Zheleznogorsk, drug police detained a man who grown hemp in his apartment.
The operatives found that a local 49-year-old resident arranged a real plantation in his apartment for the cultivation of hemp. Four greenhouses with equipment were installed in the room to maintain the required level of humidity and temperature. In total, 26 hemp bushes weighing 846 were seized.
Also, during a search from the suspect’s apartment, seeds were seized and sent for examination, presumably designed for cultivation, specialized equipment for growing, a package with plant leaves and other material evidence.

A criminal case was instituted against the man under Part 1 of Art. 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “illegal cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances or their precursors.” The maximum punishment under this article is imprisonment for up to two years.
The suspect was chosen by a preventive measure in the form of a non -departure subscription and proper behavior.
