Known for his long career on stage and on the big screen, Girone became the most famous for his role Tano Cariddi in the television series “La Piovra”, one of the most successful productions of Heaven, which treats the history of the Italian Mafia.
Girone was born on December 1, 1948 in Asmara, Eritrea, and grew up in an Italian family. At the age of 13, he moved to Rome to attend the high school and then studied at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts “Silvio d'amico”, where he graduated as an actor, according to Voxnews.
