The new chess club appeared in Krasnoyarsk on the basis of the regional headquarters of public support of the United Russia party and was a continuation of the implementation of a large -scale program aimed at developing mass sports and intellectual leisure.
At the opening of the grandmaster, the vice-champion of the world in chess, Senator Sergey Karyakin discussed with the chess players the popularization of this sport in the region, answered the guests and wished good luck to everyone who is engaged in chess.
Master classes, tournaments, and demonstration matches will be held on the club site. Everyone will be able to engage here. One of the most important areas, which was discussed at the meeting, the project “Chess for their own”, aimed at rehabilitation of military personnel.
“The opening of clubs around the country is the development of our favorite sport – chess. Everyone considers physical development important, but intellectual development is no less important. Chess contributes to this. The chess club is open for people of all ages, it will be possible to just play, take part in master classes and competitions. The club system allows you to identify young talents, nuggets, we will support them personally. There is also a chess program for their own, which implies the adaptation of our fighters and their involvement in a chess life. We see a great demand in this direction, ”said Sergey Karjakin.
At the end of the meeting, Grossmaster held a party with the young pupil of the Krasnoyarsk Chess School Angelica Sazonova. The girl began to engage in chess from 5 years old, now she is 11 years old, she is engaged in a chess school, dreams of taking first place in a large tournament and going for training camps.
“I play with Sergey Karyakin for the second time, last time I lost. It’s difficult to play with him, this is our second match. But I got an autograph. I love chess for developing the mind, ”the athlete shared emotions.
