The withdrawal of soldiers from the temporary base in Jasionka does not affect further support for Ukraine – Terry Welch spokesman in Europe told PAP. In this way he answered the question of PAP about the reports of “Fakt” that the last American soldiers left Jasionka on August 28.

The spokesman did not answer the question about the date, but confirmed that the troops were transferred to other bases in Poland, and the change did not affect operations supporting the provision of help from Ukraine.
Initially, the relocation of American soldiers from the temporary base near Rzeszów was announced on April 7, and the decision to change was to be made during the term of President Joe Biden and had a relationship between, among others with the transfer of the command of the Ukrainian support mission from the USA to NATO.
Installations in Jasionka served for over three years as the residence of the US forces participating in the mission.
“The objects in Jasionka were temporary, and the transfer of operations, such as supply, storage and transport, to permanent locations in another place in the country, where there is a more durable infrastructure, makes these operations better,” another spokesman for US Army, Colonel Michael Weisman, explained.
