Roger Federer, nominated to enter Hall of Fame
Roger Federer, considered one of the largest tennis players in history, is the first to reach 20 Grand Slam tournaments won on the men's painting. It was later followed by Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, who exceeded him.
The Spaniard has reached 22 high -brimming tournaments conquered in the career, before the withdrawal last year. And the Serb has 24 Grand Slam trophies and is in pursuit of the 25th.
In addition to the huge number of Grand Slam trophies won, Roger Federer won the David Cup in Switzerland in 2014. This is also an Olympic champion, winning gold in Beijing, along with Stan Wawrinka.
Between 2005 and 2007, Federer arrived 10 times in a row in high Slam finals, coming out 8 times. The Swiss won Australian Open 6 times, Roland Garros once, Wimbledon 8 times and US Open 5 times, every year from 2004 to 2008. Later, he has not taken any trophy in New York.
It is great to be part of this select group, of players with 20 Grand Slam trophies. How can you compare? What's best? To win when you are old or when you are young? I have no idea. Is it better to win on the slag or grass? I don't know. Is it better to have years of absolute domination or to come back after an injury? I don't know. It's really impossible to understand.
