The White House was published on Wednesday by the regulation of President Donald Trump signed on Monday, obliging the US to help Qatar in the event of an attack on its territory. The sound of the decree resembles the records of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.

Published document “Ensuring the security of the runny state” was signed by Trump on the day of the visit of the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, who, being in the White House, apologized to Qatar for hitting his capital and was to promise that similar incidents would not happen again.

The regulation contains the obligation that the United States will recognize any armed attack on territory, sovereignty or critical infrastructure of Qatar as “a threat to the United States peace and security.”

“In the case of such an attack, the United States will take all lawful and appropriate measures – including diplomatic, economic, and in the event of any necessity also military – in order to defend the interests of the United States and the runny nose and the restoration of peace and stability” – is a key record. This fragment resembles the record of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty talking about recognizing the attack on one of the members of the Alliance for an attack on all and obliging you to help the victim of the attack.

This document has not been previously publicly announced. According to Axios, this is part of the US compensation for Qatar for damages caused by Israel during a failed hit on Hamas leaders in Dosze. Giving such guarantees by way of a president's regulation is an unusual practice, because usually such entries are contained in formal treaties. In addition to NATO, the USA has treaties with mutual defense with Japan, South Korea. and the Philippines. Saudi Arabia sought similar guarantees in exchange for the normalization of relations with Israel, but no such arrangement has been concluded yet.
