The fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, spoke about his passion for music, after venturing on different professional paths, after his withdrawal from athletics.

With his runner's career, there are no strict training sessions and no efforts to exceed the limits of human performance. All this free time offered USain Bolt, now 39 years old, the chance to experience other careers.

Usain Bolt was a footballer, and now he is a music producer

He tried football, hoping to translate his speed on the track on the playing field. But now his attention has moved to music. He became a music producer and has already released an album with his friend and manager, Nugent “NJ” Walker. Country Yutes, because in the name, it is a mixture of reggae, Afrobeats and Dancehall, all supported by something very important for the bolt: positivity.

“It is Jamaican music, but we try to keep it as positive as possible. You know, as young people grow up, you want to try to promote the positive. In these times, many happen. If you can make sure that music is positive and energetic, different from negative, it helps,” said Usain Bolt, in an interview.

Remarkable results in athletics

Usain Bolt remains one of the most successful sprinting, setting world records at 100 m and 200 m at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Germany. Over a decade later, these records remain untouched.

It is the only sprinter that has won gold both at 100 m and 200 m in three consecutive editions of the Olympic Games, and in Beijing 2008 it has become the only person to simultaneously held world records for both distances.

Usain Bolt will probably be remembered forever as the fastest man in history, but his post-attletism demonstrates that he is equally dedicated to spreading joy and positivity outside the runway.

According to Usain Bolt, “the inheritance is no longer just about world records, but about creating moments that last far beyond the finish line.”
