Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized to his Qatar counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani, for the doha attack, in a telephone conversation carried on Monday from the White House, sources familiar to Reuters and Axios said.
The appeal to the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, took place in the margin of Washington on Monday between Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump.
According to another informed source about discussions, a technical team in Qatar is also at the White House.
The Israeli Prime Minister also expressed his regret for killing a Qatarez Security officer, notes Axios.
Israel's apologies for attack were an essential condition imposed by Qatar to resume Hamas mediation on an agreement to put an end to the Gaza war and lead to the release of the remaining hostages.
Trump had a call with Qatar's emir before Netanyahu came to the White House.
Israel tried, in the September 9 attack from Doha to eliminate Hamas leaders, but only managed to kill lower rank officials, provoking the indignation of Arab leaders. The blow has, paradoxically, contributed to the creation of a regional impulse for a comprehensive agreement to conclude the war, which Trump hopes to announce during Netanyahu's visit.
