Romanian tourists filled the resorts in Bulgaria in August

The number of foreign visitors in Bulgaria has increased at an annual pace by 6.3% in August, to about 2.3 million, most of them in Romania, the data published by the National Institute of Statistics (NIS) shows, informs the BTA agency and the Seenews.com website, quoted by Agerpres.
In August, travel for tourist and business purposes were responsible for 53% and 5% of the total arrivals of foreign visitors in Bulgaria.
EU citizens were responsible for 60%of foreign visitors' arrivals, and the largest groups are made up of Romanians (31%) and Germans (20%).
The number of tourists from other European countries reached 740,600 in August, most coming from Turkey (45%).
Defalcat, most foreign visitors to Bulgaria according to nationality came from last month from Romania (423,800), Turkey (335,800) and Germany (264,900).
In August, Bulgarian citizens made 1.07 million travelers abroad, an annual advance of 19.4%. Greece, Turkey and Romania remain their favorite destinations by Bulgarians, with 314,800 visits, 286,700 visits and 77,900 visits.
