Marwit was founded in 1993 by 20-year-old Maciej Jóźwicki. The company has become a leader in the unpasteurized juice segment, reaching as much as 70 percent. market share. The company with its registered office in Złejwsi Wielka also had salads and smoothie.
However, Covid-19 Pandemia turned out to be the beginning of the end for Marwit. Displacements in the supply chain and rising production costs have led to serious financial problems. Already in 2020, the company suspended its operations, and in July 2021 the District Court declared its bankruptcy.
“One -day juices were an innovative and very popular product, but their production and distribution were extremely demanding. They required strict technological, hygienic and logistics standards, as well as refrigerated storage conditions in stores” – explains Barbara Groele, Secretary General of the National Association of the Unia UNIA of juice producers, in an interview with portalsposywczy.pl.
High operating costs combined with disruptions in deliveries made the Marwit business model unprofitable.
Marwit – the sale of assets continues
The company's liquidation process is still ongoing. According to Superbiz.se.pl, further assets of the company were put up for sale. Among them were:
– land property with an area of 11.4577 ha in Pędziew (Toruń poviat) for a starting price of PLN 1,476,000 net.
– trademark “Gardens of Nature”, whose minimum price is 69 thousand. PLN net.
– 100 percent shares in the company Biogaz-Invest Sp. z o. o., issued for at least PLN 84,000 net.
Offers for the purchase of assets can be submitted until October 8, until 15.00.
