Welcoming the Israeli prime minister, Donald Trump appeared personally before entering the famous west wing. Leaders mentioned hugs, while journalists, shouting the questions, tried to find out whether the American president was convinced of the success of peaceful talks. Trump, however, did not give unequivocal answers, although gestures and tons of his statements suggested optimism.
Netanyahu's meeting with the head of the American state, which took place for the fourth time in the second term of Trump, was focused on the details of the American proposal of peaceful regulation. In the conversations there was a promise that both Israel and Hamas are close to finding a common solution. Earlier, Trump consulted with Emir of Qatar – a state that plays a key role as a mediator in negotiations with Palestinian Hamas.

The peace plan, on the basis of which the American initiative is based, consists of 21 points. The document, partly based on the proposal of the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, assumes temporary international supervision over the Gaza Strip. Its content also includes the release of hostages and a permanent agreement on the suspension of weapons.
