The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia met Sergei Lavrov. Such words were said
According to the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an official announcement, Blanar raised the topic of recent incidents with the participation of Russian drones and aircraft, which invaded Slovakia allies into the airspace, including Poland and Romania. He emphasized that such activities cannot be accepted because they pose a threat to the safety of the entire North Atlantic Alliance.

Talks in New York were an opportunity for Blanar to repeat the official position of Bratislava against the war in Ukraine. Slovakia – as noted – believes that the conflict cannot be resolved by a military path. “It has been going on for three and a half years, which only confirms the ineffectiveness of the power -based approach. The only path is a diplomatic dialogue, built on respect for international law, pragmatism and readiness to negotiate,” reads in the communiqué.

The next thread of conversations was Slovakia's energy security. Blanar pointed out that stable energy supply is a strategic issue for Bratislava and thanked Russian partners for ensuring continuity of gas and oil supply.
For Bratislava, talks in New York had a double dimension: diplomatic – associated with the declared desire to conduct dialogue with Russia – and practical, regarding the ensuring the energy security of the country and maintaining stable economic relations with Moscow.
