Strong Wind Yellow Code in Bucharest and several counties

Meteorologists on Thursday issued a strong yellow wind code warning for Bucharest and several counties in the country, valid until Friday evening. The bursts will reach speeds of 50–65 km/h, and in the mountain areas of Caraș-Severin, they can reach 80-100 km/h.

According to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), between September 25, at 10 – 26 September, at 21, the weather will cool accentuated throughout the country, with lower temperatures by about 10-15 degrees than in previous days.

The wind will have intensifications in the southern half of the country and isolated in the rest, and for Thursday the yellow code warning targets Caraș-Severin, Buzău, Brăila, Ilfov, Bucharest, western Ialomita and the coast, where the bursts will reach 50–65 km/h.

Subsequently, between September 25, at 21-26 September, 9 pm, in Caraș-Severin the wind will blow with 55-65 km/h, and in the related mountain area you can reach gusts of 80-100 km/h. Intensifications will also be on the coast, with speeds of 50–65 km/h.

Meteorologists specify that until Saturday evening (September 27), the wind will continue to have intensifications in Caraș-Severin, with gusts up to 60–65 km/h.

The National Meteorological Administration announces a significant cooling of the weather in most of the country, starting Thursday, September 24th. The temperatures will descend below the normal average of the period in Moldova, the east of Transylvania, but also in the north, the center and the east of Muntenia. Otherwise, the thermal values ​​will be close to those specific to the calendar date.
