Although cars from outside the European Union driving around Poland do not have to undergo regular registration reviews, this will change soon. According to “Auto Świat”, work is underway at the Ministry of Infrastructure on a bill, according to which an important technical examination will have to have every car that will drive on Polish roads for more than a few weeks.
This record is to force regular registration reviews primarily by car owners on Ukrainian and Belarusian license plates, whose number increased significantly in Poland after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in February 2022.
Currently, there is no such obligation. Cars entering Poland from outside the European Union, including primarily from Ukraine, are treated as international traffic participants. This is the basic rate in force passenger cars, trucks, buses and three -wheeled cars. Motorcyclists currently pay PLN 94 instead of PLN 62.
An additional fee charged for the registration review of LPG gas car powered – from 64 to 93 PLN has also increased. In total, LPG owners pay 212 instead of PLN 161.
