I asked the National Medicines Agency to an approved point of view, the recent studies in force and sure that I will make a statement and a firm answer for this situation. He said that, until now, he has not received signals from the specialists on this subject: “I believe that scientific results and specialized studies can demonstrate whether or not there is a connection between paracetamol and a series of side effects. As we know, all drugs also have side effects, both in the short and long term, but additional scientific studies are needed to show, prove this. “
Asked what he recommends to people after the statements made by Trump, the Minister of Health replied that Studies no longer recommend paracetamol consumption.
“We do not know whether they are without evidence or not. For this reason, we asked the National Medicines to do an record with the latest studies in the field. If there are studies that demonstrate this and these studies no longer recommend the consumption of paracetamol, most likely the manufacturer will withdraw it from the market, we will not have to make a decision. he replied.
