The presence of a bear was reported in the forest area of the town of Podari, and the Dolj Prefecture was an operative working group, made up of the representatives of several institutions, reports News.ro.
The bear was observed on Saturday, and in the alert issued by the authorities, the locals are urged to avoid the area, to stay in the homes, as well as to keep the distance from the bear if they observe it.
On Sunday, a working session took place.
“In the context of the new appearance of the bear in the Dolj county, the prefect of Dolj county, Dan Diaconu, convened, during this day, a working meeting with the representatives of the institutions with attributions in the management of such situations. And the direct responsibilities that belong to each institution ”, Dolj Prefecture said in a statement.
According to the Prefecture, representatives of the County Association of Hunters, Forest Guard, Forest Directorate, Police Inspectorate, Gendarmes Inspectorate, Sanitary Veterinary Directorate, Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and the Prefect Institution.
“For the purpose of correct and immediate information at the local level, today a message will be sent to all the mayors, deputy mayors and secretaries of the administrative-territorial units in the county, which draws attention to the bear's recurrence and the mobilization of the intervention teams is requested,” said Dolj Prefecture.
The institution says that, on Monday morning, all the mayors of Dolj will receive the detailed procedure for such cases by electronic correspondence, considering that, according to GEO no. 81/2021, they have the quality of leaders of the local intervention teams.
