Based on the materials of the investigation, the woman was found on the bed unconscious, in the blood and with damage to the face and head in Rehabilition and Nursing Center on Koni Island.
Doctors recorded numerous fractures, the woman died the next morning as a result of stupid injuries.
The murder is suspected by her roommate in the elderly house, 95-year-old Galina Smirnova. She was found in the bathroom when she washed off the traces of blood. According to the prosecutor's office, the murder weapon could be a footboard from the wheel chair, which was seen in the blood on the floor.
Smirnova was arrested. She did not testify and did not admit guilt.
