Officers of the Central Police Investigation Bureau detained a 47-year-old man suspected of producing false banknotes. Professional equipment for falsification and over 1.2 thousand were secured in his house. counterfeit banknotes of various currencies.


Initially, investigators suspected that a specialized gang was to counterfeit banknotes. However, it turned out that the 47-year-old acted independently.
– Investigators have determined that the suspect has used online portals to offer counterfeit banknotes that imitated the currencies of various countries – among others Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Poland and euro area countries. The fakes were of high quality – They had numbers, series, and even security similar to the original – said the spokesman of the CBŚP comm. Krzysztof Wrześniowski.
He added that thanks to cooperation with the CBŚP coordinator for forgery and liaison officers in Europe, it was confirmed that the banknotes offered by the detainee were disclosed in the Czech Republic.

The 47-year-old was brought to the District Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, where he heard allegations of falsification of money. By court decision, he was temporary.
