At the request of the Municipal Guard of Tier and Dott, they undertook to implement the electronic scooter exclusion system in zones with a total ban on traffic – the Sopot town hall said.

“We reach Monciak with a scooter. We get a warning on a mobile phone that we are approaching the movement ban. Suddenly the scooter stands and the end. We can only lead it through the ban on the ban,” says Tomasz Dusza, commander of the Sopot City Guard, in an interview with Onet.
He points out that only during the holiday season the city guard patrols issued scooters to cyclists and drivers over 160 seats for almost 20 thousand. zloty.

In addition to blocking, users will also receive notifications for their phones about approaching traffic ban.
The Commander of the Municipal Guard in Sopot announced that these activities would not be limited to two these operators. The City Guard intends to talk to other companies to jointly develop comprehensive principles of safe use of electric scooters in the city.
“We want to use scooters not only comfortable, but above all safe for all traffic participants,” the soul emphasized.
Do not abandon the electrical scooter
During the meeting with operators, educational programs were also discussed, which are cyclically organized by the City Guard. Representatives of Tier and Dott will also take part in the workshops, addressed mainly to children and youth. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the regulations regarding the movement of electrical scooters and the principles of responsible use of this means of transport.
Sopot authorities also pay attention to the problem of abandoning scooters in places that can pose a threat to pedestrians and cyclists. City guards plan to increase effectiveness in identifying such cases and drawing consequences for irresponsible users.
