Electric power impruders at the Lada 2023–2024 fail – the steering wheel crunches, bites and stops obeying. The reason is plastic bearings instead of metal.
The first to pay attention to the problem was the auto mechanic who told about this on the social network: five cars were brought to the repair, and in one he immediately found a broken plastic bearing. After a year or two, he crumbles, the lubricant leaves, the shaft grows, the chips appear, the motor is overloaded-and the steering wheel “dies”.
One of the car dealers confirmed Mash that there was a marriage – since 2025 they promise to put normal details. The AvtoVAZ assures: the cases are single, in their statistics the refusal of plastic gears is not reflected. The company does not fix the mass breakdowns of this unit and will conduct an additional study of this information.
