In an interview with British information television Wołodymyr Zelanski referred to the August peak of the leaders of the US and Russia, which took place in Alaska. In his opinion, this meeting brought only Putin.
“I believe that if Ukraine participated in the talks, we could achieve specific results” – emphasized the President of Ukraine, regretting that his country did not participate in the event.
Zelanski drew attention to the political consequences for Russia resulting from the summit, claiming that Putin had the opportunity to get out of international insulation.
“The Russian leader should fail in this war, and yet he was integrated, the opportunity to participate in public dialogue and photos with the President of the USA” – said a Ukrainian politician. In his opinion, such actions do not constitute an appropriate response to the war in Ukraine, which Putin unleashed.
Zelanski argued that it was necessary to use more decisive measures to Russia to force its president to end the conflict. “He only understands the language of strength. It's his language” – he noted in an interview with Sky News.
He explained that Putin's asking for the end of the war would not bring results. In his opinion, avoiding radical steps towards Russia gives Putin dangerous freedom of action.
The President of Ukraine also appealed to decisive actions from Europe and the United States. “Sanctions must be introduced faster and more than before,” the politician expressed his expectations.

In his opinion, such steps are crucial to force Russia to bear responsibility for the beginning of the war and manipulate the international order.
Zelanski emphasized that in the face of Putin's actions, Western countries should not leave him space for further maneuvers. At the end of the interview, he stated: “If he allows him too much, he would not feel forced to end the war.” The analysis of the Russian leader's activities is a warning for the global community, calling it to strongly counteract Vladimir Putin's aggression.
