He said that Poland “lament” after this situation. He added that Belarus shot down some of the drones and warned us against them. He added in a propaganda tone that Poland “uses insidious tricks”. “It means that they have some attempts. We should figure them out. We played them. And we should counteract them. Not explaining anything to anyone,” he added. It is worth remembering that Belarus has many provocations against Poland and from 2021 Belarus destabilizes the situation on the border.
The Chief of General Staff of General Wiesław Kukuła confirmed that Belarus actually reported that Poland could be violated. “It was surprising to me that Belarus, which escalated the situation on the land border, decided on this type of cooperation,” he said on TVN24.
The border with Belarus remains closed from September 12, i.e. from the start of joint military exercises Moscow and Minsk Zapad-2025. Although the maneuvers are coming to an end, no decision was made to open the border. “The closing of the Polish-Belarusian border is required and is dictated by concern for the safety of Polish women and Poles.
