The incidents with drones that violated the air spaces of Romania and Poland could have been organized by the British Intelligence Service MI6, writes Lenta, one of the most popular news sites in Russia, which cites Russian Senator Sergei Muratov. Another official from Moscow has cataloged the information in Romania as “aberrant”.
“The incident with the Russian drone, which is supposed to have reached the Polish airspace, raises great question marks. The subsequent proposal to create an area of aerial prohibition above Ukraine only confirms that all these are an artificial challenge. It obtained an advantage, ”said Muratov, a member of the Defense and Security Commission of the Federation Council, the upper Chamber of the Russian Parliament.
Muratov said, in an interview with the publication of Gazeta.ru, that the European countries “simply do not know how to fight” honest “and, therefore,” resort to such tricks to start Russia. ” Although it did not mention Romania explicitly, he said that it is possible that “all incidents with Russian drones that would have reached the air space of EU” were “specially initiated by the British MI6 intelligence service to promote the idea of an air prohibition above Ukraine.
“Russia will continue to dominate the sky of Ukraine as it has done so far. The lack of air prohibition areas will prevent us from continuing military operations in accordance with the adopted plan. The possibility of establishing such an area raises question marks in terms of implementation,” said the Russian senator, in the context in which the Polish Minister Sikorski that an area of aerial prohibition is introduced above Ukraine.
The diplomat reminded that this issue was discussed a year ago, when Joe Biden was the US president. An area of aerial prohibition above Ukraine would mean that Russian drones will be shot down by the NATO states that are bordering in its airspace, before reaching above the territories of the Alliance Member States.
A Russian deputy claims that the drone was launched by Ukraine
In a separate interview with Lenta, the Russian deputy Alexei Cepa cataloged as “aberrant” the information that the Russian drone that violated the airspace of Romania belongs to Russia. The deputy is the vice -president of the Commission for International Affairs of State Duma, the lower chamber of the Russian Parliament.
“It's an aberration. Someone flew and went back [din spațiul aerian al României]. He flew from Ukraine, left Ukraine and blamed Russia for it. (…) When I say this has happened several times, it was most likely Ukraine. It cannot be flying and returning, even if it were, it would be by mistake. From the point of view of information services, it is an absurdity, because no one needs this. This can only do people who are not good at anything, ”said the onion.
We recall that on Saturday afternoon a Russian drone entered the airspace of Romania and two F-16 aircraft intercepted. The authorities then issued a RO-Allert message for the northern area of Tulcea county, the local population being informed that there is the possibility of falling objects from the airspace and urged.
Mapn later reported that it was a “Geran” (Shahed-136 Iranian), who left our country and entered Ukraine. The commentary of the deputy from the State Duma regarding the “return” of the drone on his trajectory seems to refer to this.
The reaction of the Russian embassy to Bucharest
The Russian ambassador to Bucharest was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after this incident, only three days after previously he had been called in relation to the Russian drones that raped the air space of Poland. In reply, the diplomatic mission ironized the MApN on the Saturday incident.
“On September 13, the Ministry of Defense of Romania discovered another UFO (unidentified flying object) in the country's airspace and has been in a hurry to announce that it would be a Russian drone. In this sense, on September 14, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania convened the Russian ambassador to transmit the” firm protest “of the Romanian authorities. During the discussion, however, none of the questions asked about the identification of the drone that would have entered the Romanian air space received a concrete and convincing answer. Considering the lack of an objective confirmation of the national provenance of the flying apparatus, the protest of the Romanian part was rejected as unfounded and unjustified ”, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bucharest said.
Russian ambassador Vladimir Lipaev claims that “an intentional challenge of the Kiev regime has taken place, which, fearing an inevitable military failure and responsibility for the crimes committed both against the Russian and Ukrainian people, desperately tries, by any means, to involve other European states in a dangerous adventure.”
The Romanian Minister of Defense, Ionuț Mosteanu, told Antena 3 CNN on Monday that the drone that entered the national airspace in Weekened is Russian, and the reaction from the diplomatic mission of Moscow “is a way to deny the records”.
