The Polish war machine is preparing for a possible conflict with Russia – said the British Times daily. The newspaper pointed out that preparations for a possible Russian attack include both the army, which spends huge sums on reinforcements and Polish citizens, gaining survival skills.

– We can only assume that Russia is testing us- said Col. Łukasz Piątek, a pilot of the F-16 multi-purpose aircraft from the Air Force base in Dęblin, commenting on the invasion of Russian drones into the Polish airspace, which occurred on the night of September 9-10.

“Times” emphasized in an article published on Saturday that the shooting down of drones over Poland is a “delicate matter”. “You must avoid damage to people and property, as well as take into account material losses,” explained Friday. In the conversation, he referred to the historical relations between Warsaw and Moscow, saying that “(Russians) will always be a threat to (Polish)”. – That's why we invest so much in defense. We are developing our possibilities – explained the officer.

According to the military analyst of Commander Maksymilian Dura, the event in the Polish airspace is part of the well -known patterns of Russian interference. – Russia has been doing this for some time – intercepts GPS signals of other countries, conducts cyberrataki, attacks submarine infrastructure – and there is a common denominator in this. (…) It was allowed (Russians) to do it with impunity. They do not expect any consequences – admitted the interlocutor “Times”.

The newspaper reminded that Poland belongs to countries with the highest defense expenses in Europe, i.e. slightly below 5 percent. GDP. It also has an army of 210,000 soldiers, one of the largest among European countries belonging to NATO.

– You will not be aware of the war until it knocks on your door – believes Marcin Kubica, operational director of the WB Group, Polish military equipment manufacturer. As noted by the British daily, this company produces, among others Flyeye aircraft, weighing 12 kg and capable of over 50 km, which can help coordinate artillery attacks to enemy positions. The newspaper recalled Kubica's opinion, who assessed that this drone “is so effective on the front that Ukrainian soldiers sing songs about him.” The director admitted that the WB Group sends the vast majority of drones they produce to Ukraine.

The British editors also described the silhouettes of Poles who are improving in ways of survival during potential disasters, i.e. Preppers. She talked, among others With Piotr Czuryłło, an expert in survival, who admitted that after an incident with the participation of Russian drones, he received a lot of phone calls from men and women of different ages, wanting to join his seminars. Among the topics he touches on the workshops, is, among others Identification of edible frog, catching fish and building a simple shelter.

– Of course, we are all afraid of war. (…) We think that the next war will be more cruel than ever. But we are ready – said Czuryłło.
