Drones over Poland. Strong words of Radosław Sikorski at Russia


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski made a visit to Kiev on Friday, where he met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zielnski.

As the head of Polish diplomacy informed, the talks concerned, among others cooperation of defense industries, exchange of experience in the field of drone technology and the use of SAFE funds. The possibility of financing joint Polish-Ukrainian projects from the Polish national loan was also discussed.

The visit began with the minister's welcome at the Kiev station by the head of Ukrainian diplomacy Andriy Sybiha, who emphasized that Poland and Ukraine remain solidarity towards Russian terror and provocation. The Foreign Affairs spokesman Paweł Wroński announced that during his stay in the capital of Ukraine, Sikorski would meet with the most important politicians of the country and representatives of Western countries.

During the conference in Kiev, the minister also referred to the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones on Tuesday night to Wednesday. “It wasn't a mistake,” he said, responding to the earlier words of US President Donald Trump, who suggested the possibility of a mistake on the Russian side.
Radosław Sikorski: Russia does not intend to end suffering
Sikorski also had talks with the head of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yvette Cooper, devoted to the situation on the eastern flank of NATO and Poland's security in the context of Russian attacks. He also met with the President of Finland Alexander Stubb – the main topic was the future of transatlantic relations and the prospects of the peace process in Ukraine.
During his visit, Sikorski emphasized that the alliance's actions show his ability to neutralize real threats. – We regret to observe that Russia does not intend to end the suffering of innocent people in Ukraine He added.
The Polish minister assured that support for Kiev. – We will not leave our friends and allies alone in the face of growing aggression. We want to develop military cooperation with Ukraine, also in the area of defense industry He announced.
This is another visit to Sikorski in Kiev in recent months. Previously, he visited Ukraine in September 2024, when for three days he had talks with President Zelnski, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy and representatives of the authorities in security matters, including the issue of the exhumation of the victims of the Volyn crime.
