“We have informed the authorities that We will not execute the contract And I also presented the reasons why we arrived in this situation. We will send an announcement next week with other information on this subject ”told Profit.ro Dusan Lichardus, co -founder Tesla and chairman of the Board of Directors.

The project, totaling 450 million lei, would benefit from a state aid of 200 million lei, with the location of the Industrial Park of the Free Brăila area.

The main production facility of the group was part, before the 1989 velvet revolution, from the Czechoslovak Communist conglomerate producer of electronic, electronic and appliances, notorious and in Romania, among others through radio magnetophones and appliances wearing this mark. The most important assets of the group is the Tesla factory in the city of Slovak Lipotovsky Hradok, where they are currently produced by battery -based energy storage systems, but also other types of energy equipment, telecommunications and IT.

Under the Czech legal “umbrella” of Tesla Global, several businesses are operated, all related to the production, storage and management of industrial electricity consumption from renewable sources. Among the founders, shareholders and managers of Tesla Global are the Slovak engineer and businessman Dusan Lichardus, who, through the Dravus Investment investment fund, has held and operated by 2019 a number of 3 photovoltaic parks in western Romania, in Bihor county, with a cumulative power cumulated by 11 MW.

Three years ago, the mayor of Braila, Marian Dragomir, said that the Braila factory will be a 100% green investment, which will not involve chemical processes. The number of employees will be 200 at the opening, with the triple perspective.

This investment in a factory will bring in our area a very modern technology and will provide jobs in the future industry ”said Mayor Marian Dragomir, in a post on his Facebook page, in September 2022.

Tesla representatives say they have made the decision to build a battery factory in Braila, because it is “an extremely well-positioned city, which has an opening at the Danube, in an area that unites Muntenia, Moldova and Dobrogea.”
