Chelsea, the World Club Champion, officially announced the purchase of striker Emanuel Emegha (22 years old) from the French team Strasbourg, the transaction to be completed after January 1, 2026, according to Sportal.bg.

The 22 -year -old Dutch striker scored 14 goals and offered 3 decisive passes in 27 matches for the Ligue 1 club, last season.

The transaction should not have difficulty, given that Chelsea participates in the financing of Strasbourg, and the two clubs are affiliated. The multi-club structure is controlled by the Blueco consortium, owned by Todd Boehly, who is also Chelsea's boss.

Strasbourg's captain reaches Chelsea

Emegha was brought in 2023 from Sturm Graz, Austria, and became one of the captains of the French team. However, not all the footballers from Strasbourg were brought to the club de Chelsea, the French having a certain independence in terms of selection.

This is a new transaction between the two clubs. In Strasbourg, young people from Chelsea, Michael Penders and Kendry Páez were borrowed. Mamadou Sarr defender was bought by the London, but it remained immediately in the form of a loan on the Alsatian team. For Strasbourg, Chelsea's former defender, Ben Chilwell, also plays.

“I had the opportunity to go to other clubs playing in the Champions League. After discussions with Blueco and both clubs, I agreed that this solution will be the best for me.”, Emegha described his transfer to England.
