The head of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs ordered to close the border with Belarus. When will it open?

“I issued an order to close the border crossings with Belarus. Transitions will be open only when we are 100% sure that there is no threat to Polish citizens,” the minister wrote.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland noted that the decision to close the border is associated with the Russian-Belarusian military exercises “West 2025”.

It will enter into force at midnight on September 12.

The Polish department explained that the decision is valid for both entry and departure, both for passengers and for freight transport, and concerns road and railway crossings.

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the country is faced with a growing number of provocations from the east and mentioned the active phase of military maneuvers in Belarus, which begins on September 12.
