“PB” notes that this year's summer did not spoil tourists spending their holidays in Poland. Gastronomy companies have suffered on this, which operate seasonally.

According to the journal, at the end of August their arrears reported to the National Debt Register amounted to PLN 436.4 million. It is PLN 123 million more than two years ago, when a similar combination was recently prepared.

“From 100,000 seasonal points of gastronomy operating in Poland, as many as 13.4 thousand restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and foodtrucks appear in the KRD base,” says the newspaper.

According to the journal of reasons, there are several problems. In July, tourist traffic was much smaller than a year ago, mainly due to bad weather. August brought improvement – the average length of stay and the booking value increased, and many tourists decided to book accommodation at the last moment.

As stated, there is a change in consumers' preferences, of which a large group currently prefers food with delivery. This requires entrepreneurs to implement systems for order processing, which is associated with subsequent investments.

The newspaper notes that restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and food-Trucki have the most unregulated obligations. Their debts reach PLN 381.8 million. The record holder is an entrepreneur from Lower Silesia operating in the form of a commercial law company, which is in arrears PLN 4.1 million, mainly a leasing company, but also a food and alcohol wholesaler.
