Veste-Şoc in Romanian football. Overwhelmed by financial problems, FCU Craiova It would have been excluded from all competitions, according to an announcement made on Wednesday evening by the Romanian Football Federation. On the edge of the gap, Adrian Mititelu's club had started the season in Liga 3 with a deposit of 106 points, and the prospects were bleak. The position of the FCU financier, in the rows below.
In a troubled period of the club's existence, FCU Craiova seems to have received a new devastating blow. Arrived in Liga 3, with a mammoth deposit and relying on the junior, the former first division was notified by the FRF that it was willing “the exclusion of the team from all competitions”.
👉🏻 How did you get here? FCU was submitted massively due to debts to former players, coaches and employees, but also as a result of a litigation with Dinamo, related to a match in the Romanian Cup.
“Pursuant to Art. 85 paragraph 1 letter c of the disciplinary regulations It has the exclusion from all the competitions in progress and the relegation of the team into the lower category of the FCU club 1948 Craiova Football Club SA”, Informs the Romanian Football Federation.
It is a brutal decision for the FCU, but predicted by acute financial problems and the “whirlwind” in which the club entered this summer.
Basically, if the decision would become a definitive one, Adrian Mititelu would be in the hypostasis of being excluded for the second time in football, after the disinfiliation that U Craiova passed in 2011.
“It is a first decision of exclusion, but it is not in force! We go to the civil courts!”
Contacted by the Sports Gazette, Adrian Mititelu, the financier of the Bănie group, offered a first reaction on this subject, confessing that he will appeal the decision in the civil courts and expressing his belief that FCU will not be excluded for the moment in Liga 3!
FCU's financier puts the financial impasse in which he also entered the “unfair competition” he had in relation to the other team in the city and detail on how he wants to keep his team “alive”.
“There is a first exclusion decision, but that does not mean it is in force. He is like a convicted person in the first instance, but who is not about to be “incarcerated”. There is a court until “incarceration”.
I don't think it will be that way. It will happen so if they want to do harakiri! In addition to all those reasons, which I still tell you, that they are in illegality that they act abusively (no FRF), my case is a special one. They are debts, I do not deny them, but my debts come from a sarabanda of abuses for 14 years!
More in recent years, when we could not be part of the unfair competition made by the team they created (no CS University Craiova).
They made me a clone in the city, they brought me in the situation where the revenues were zero, I had to put three million euros a year, from methat I keep it at a very good level. And in Liga 1 it was at a very good level.

Adrian Mititelu, the owner of FCU Craiova
But at one point I could no longer, because they, all the businessmen in the city, support them, the supporters fired at them, because they won them during that time I was missing, when they were stronger, better organized (No refers to the other team in the city). A stronger team was created than me and I couldn't cope.
But it is most importantly that the CJUE decision of August 1 says clearly that the decisions of the sports federations can no longer be final, and they can be challenged … there is a right of censorship of the court. Anyone feels unjust can go to court and only afterwards can become a definitive decision.
Moreover, the national courts are obliged to remove any regulation from the statutes of the federations, that is, not to take into account them!
Therefore, any decision of the federation and the disciplinary commission is subject to civil courts. And we will now attack the civil court. I do not go to any court of the federation, as they go, but go directly to the civil courts.
According to the law, from the moment I challenge this decision, they can do nothing. So far, there is practice with TAS, but this has fallen with the TAS. I don't think we'll be out of the competition!
The Friday match is 100%playing. (No with Filiași) They, in their madness of regulation, implement the decision only after their ways are exhausted, at the federation. We will not go to TAS, we will challenge in the civil court, and they will decide if they respect the law. It remains to be seen what will be over a week or two. Until then, we will play at Filiași.
It's a matter. We will attack tomorrow, we no longer expect to motivate. They had not motivated anything until now. In order to get rid of this care, we ask for the suspension of its decision to emergency and I understand that it works in this way, in the emergency. Therefore, we expect that next week we will have a deadline for the Bucharest Court, in order to suspend the exclusion decision ”said Adrian Mititelu, in dialogue with gsp.ro.
On Friday, FCU Craiova should face the ACSO Filiași, in the #3 round of the championship. Last week, the Oltenians lost at tennis score, score 0-6, on their own ground, against CSM Cetatea Turnu Măgurele.
