Polish Minister of Interior Tomasz Siemoniak identified the agent of Belarus under the name of “Ulaadzislau” and indicated that the information services in Hungary and the Republic of Moldova were involved.

“The suspect carried out spying activities on the Polish and Hungarian territory,” informed the Interior Minister on the X network, adding that the man was charged for espionage.

“A diplomat from Belarus who supported the aggressive activities of Belaruse intelligence services against our country will also be expelled from Poland,” prime minister Donald Tusk announced on Tuesday.

According to the Polish Minister of the Interior, this diplomat was “directly involved in a secret services.”

Relations between Poland and Belarus, neighboring countries, are at the lowest level from the beginning of Russia's offensive against Ukraine in 2022. Warsaw is one of the main supporters of Kiev, while Minsk is an important ally of Moscow.

Also on Tuesday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Poland will close his border with Belarus on Thursday night, “for national security reasons”, as a result of Russian-Balaruse Zapad military exercises.

The military exercises “Zapad-2025” (West-2025), scheduled to take place in western Russia and Belarus, have aroused serious security concerns in neighboring states Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, which are NATO member countries.

“A spy network was built in Europe”

The intelligence services in Romania, Hungary and the Czech Republic have announced the destruction of a Belarus's spy network operating in Europe.

The case is related to the file in which, in Romania, Alexandru Bălan, the former deputy director of the Information Service in the Republic of Moldova, is investigated.

The Security Intelligence Service in the Czech Republic (bis) transmitted that, together with the Romanian and Hungarian services, he “abolished a network of Belarus information that was built in Europe.”

The spy network in Europe was created by the State Security Committee of Belarus (KGB), who tried to establish a network of agents and collect sensitive information, said BIS, quoted by the Ukrainian daily Pravda.

According to the Czech intelligence service, Belarușii managed to build their network of agents “first of all due to their ability to move freely to Europe”.

State secrets of Romania, disclosed to KGB of Belarus

The European Security Services have unmasked members and associates of the KGB in Belarus, “including, for example, a former deputy head of the intelligence of Moldova (SIS), who had to transfer classified information to KGB.”

It is about Alexandru Bălan, of which DIICOT announced on Monday, without appointing him, that he was detained for betrayal and espionage in favor of KGB in Belarus. He is accused of betrayal after sending Romania's state secrets to KGB in Belarus.

“The prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism Offenses – Central Structure, together with police officers of the Organized Crime Fighting Directorate of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, implemented a warrant issued on behalf of a 47 -year Monday night.

The suspect has held management positions in the intelligence service in the Republic of Moldova, but the information provided KGB has also endangered the national security of our country, the Romanian prosecutors say.

And the Czech expulsion a belarus diplomat

Shortly after the Romanian prosecutors announced that he is investigating a former head of the intelligence of Moldova, the Czech Foreign Ministry announced that a diplomat of the Belarus Embassy was declared persona non grata.

“Diplomacy defends us. I declared a diplomat from Belarus who worked for the information services persona non grata. We will not tolerate the abusive use of diplomatic immunity for espionage,” said the CEH, in a post on the X account of the Czech Ministry.
