PSG expressed disappointment after two of his important players suffered injuries while playing for France. The club officials are angry because the denestand and desire two have been injured during the convening to the national team of France. Dembele suffered a thigh injury, while two faced a leg injury.
Accused of PSG of overloading on Dembele and two, leading to serious injuries, the French Football Federation (FFF) responded by his president, Philippe Diallo.
The president of the federation responds: “The national team is in the first place”
According to L'Equipe and other French publications, Diallo sent a letter to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi on Monday, the president of European champions, in an attempt to relax the situation and defend the medical staff of Les Bleus and coach Didier Deschamps.
The letter emphasizes the “absolute trust” of the Federation in Deschamps and its technical staff. It also requests a review of the international calendar saturated with matches and underlines the importance of continuous collaboration between clubs and Les Bleus.
In conclusion, the head of FFF stressed that “the national team must always be in the first place” and that “the only opponent is Iceland”, which France is about to face on Tuesday.
Former French international Christophe Dugarry reacted less diplomatically. The winner of the 1998 World Cup addressed the criticisms of Deschamps's staff during the show “Rothen s'enflamme” from the RMC.

“Dembele's injury is primarily from PSG's fault”
According to Dugarry, the responsibility does not belong to the national team: “I am one hundred percent with Deschamps. Dembele's injury is primarily the fault of the PSG. I saw it in a fragile state for years, and now it has paid the price of a long season.”
Following a thigh injury that will keep the deams on the tummy six to eight weeks, PSG has expressed frustration of how the national team managed the player, but Dugarry rejects the criticisms of the Paris club.
“The manipulation that PSG is trying to implement is scandalous and disrespectful towards the national team and to Didier Deschamps. PSG is the only responsible for Dembele's work volume,” said Dugarry.
What PSG supports about Dembele's injury
Following the injuries of Dembele and two in the match against Ukraine, PSG demanded “a more transparent and collaborative framework” to prioritize the health of its players and expressed regret that his medical recommendations “were not taken into account”.
The France champion said he provided detailed medical information before LES Bleus training sessions and sought to establish documented, systematic and mutual exchanges between the club's medical staff and that of the national team to “strengthen the precautionary principle when selecting players with ongoing conditions”.
In conclusion, given the “recent incidents”, PSG has requested “prompt and immediate corrective measures” and has committed to actively participate in this effort for the benefit of players and professional football.
