The Municipal Stadium in Sibiu would be host for about 350 students from 15 classes in the new school year. The steps to obtain the opinion are underway, and moving them into a few classes within the arena would be carried out with the beginning of the school, for an interval of about 10 months, as long as the consolidation works of the old building and its energy renovation are scheduled.
Part of the students of the “Ion Luca Caragiale” school in Sibiu would learn in the new year in the halls arranged at the Sibiu Municipal Stadium, according to the Tower of Advice.
The situation is not a simple one, parents are extremely dissatisfied with what happened, and the authorities are trying to make the best decisions over the last hundred meters.
Initially it was discussed that 9 of the classes be moved to the upper floors of the Alma Mater building, on Someșului Street, but the parents did not want to hear about this variant and opposed, expressing their concerns about the safety of children.
Subsequently, the option appeared that they be moved to arranged containers and in a few rooms inside the stadium in the city.
City Hall is trying to resolve the situation
“Yesterday morning (no August 27) I went to the stadium and we looked at all the spaces that can be used, possibly where delimiting walls can be made and we decided that seven spaces for classrooms can appear there.
Two are very large and, if a sliding wall can be placed, nine classes will be arranged, but these changes must be made with the con-a agreement, which have lifted the stadium that is still under warranty.
Therefore, five classes will be able to be arranged in containers located on the land from the Gymnasium School no. 25, and a new class can be set up in the new building of “Il Caragiale”, said Mayor Astrid Fodor.
But the road to the actual move to the stadium is not a simple one. The school needs several opinions and authorizations, including from FC Hermannstadt and possibly from the Romanian Football Federation.
The containers needed for the five classrooms and the utilities must be purchased, to change the arrangement at the stadium, to obtain the approvals from the Gendarmerie, ISU, Antitero. With all these institutions, the first steps have already been taken in principle.
We will also ask for the agreement from FC Hermannstadt, we hope there will be no need for the Romanian Football Federation. So that's the direction we'll go. I am convinced that problems can be solved
