Ukrainian authorities have announced that Russian attacks during the night killed at least four people and hurt several tens, and a Kiev government building caught fire, AFP reports.

The State Emergency Service said that Russia's attacks damaged several tall buildings in the capital of Ukraine, posting on Telegram pictures of firefighters who were fighting a fire on a higher floor.

According to the institution, at least two people were killed in Kiev and another 18 were injured.

Prime Minister Iulia Svyrydenko said that the Ukrainian cabinet building was damaged.

“The roof and the upper floors were damaged due to an enemy attack. Savior fires,” she wrote on Telegram.

An AFP reporter noticed smoke rising from the roof of the building and helicopters that intervened to liquidate the flames.

Ukrainian authorities have declared an air alert at the dawn of Sunday.

In Dnipropetrovsk, Russian force drone attacks killed a 54-year-old man and injured several people, according to the announcement made by the military administration in the region in the center of Ukraine.

Another attack, in the North-East region of Sumî, killed a man and hurt others, said local authorities on Saturday.

“Following an enemy attack on the outskirts of Putyvyl, a person died and there are injured people,” including a nine -year -old, said Regional Military Governor, Oleg Grygorov on Telegram.

In Zaporojie, on Saturday night, a Russian drone attack injured at least 15 people, four of which were hospitalized, said Ivan Fedorov, the head of the military administration in the region, which is partially occupied by Russia.

Russian forces currently occupy about 20% of the Ukrainian territory. In the three and a half years of war, tens of thousands of people were killed, millions of people were forced to leave their homes, and much of East and Southern Ukraine was destroyed.
