“Putin can come to Kiev,” said Zelanski in an interview broadcast on Saturday.
At the same time, the Ukrainian president again excluded his arrival in Moscow. As he explained, this is impossible, because his country is still attacked by Russia, and Putin, suggesting Moscow as a meeting place, only a delay.
– I can't go to Moscow when my country is attacked every day with missiles. I can't go to the capital of this terrorist – he pointed out in an interview with ABC Zelnski.
The Ukrainian president accused Putin of “playing” with the United States.
Zelanski has repeatedly called to organize a meeting with the Russian leader to negotiate a ceasefire in Ukraine. According to Ukrainian sources, at least seven countries proposed to organize such a summit on their territory, among them Türkiye and the Persian Gulf.
Putin said on Wednesday that he could meet with Zelanski in Moscow if the meeting “is prepared”, while expressing doubts whether it would make sense. The Russian Ministry of the Interior had previously entered the President of Ukraine on the list of wanted people.
