During the match between Latvia and Lithuania, from the Euro Basket 2025 finals, played on Saturday night, in Riga, a bomb alert came in front of the room, which created an emergency in that area.

A total chaos broke out at the end of the match between Latvia and Lithuania, when Access of fans and journalists in the room has been forbiddenthe reason being a suspicious package. Specifically, a bomb alert created confusion before the last match of the day, between Serbia and Finland. Finally, the match was played according to the program.

Shortly after, FIBA issued an official statement, in which the first information was provided, according to Sportal.blic.rs.

The last minutes of the match between Latvia and Lithuania were playing when the feeling of fear was established. About 10,000 fans were present when the alarm was started, while many others were waiting for the halls, to enter the next match.

Police received a bomb alert and found a package that was taken immediately to be examined. The area between the Media and the hall was closed, for the safety of those present.

The police isolated that area and no one was allowed to enter or leave the room. “The police have blocked the street. It can take up to 20 minutes. We apologize for the inconvenience! Everyone's safety is in the first place,” the statement sent by FIFA shows.
