President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he “watched” the lavish event organized by China on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Japan's defeat in World War II and says that he “understood the reason” for which he publicly brought to the leaders of China, Russia and North Korea.
Donald Trump was asked about the China military parade when he received Polish President Karol Nawrocki in the Oval Office and discussed with journalists.
He said it was a “beautiful ceremony” and “very, very impressive”.
Chinese leader Xi Jinping, flanked by Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the North Korean Kim Jong Un, presided over in Beijing on Wednesday, a lavish military parade, attended by a series of leaders considered autocrat, in an obvious movement of the West and especially Donald Trump.
The massive Demonstration of force from Beijing, officially organized to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Japan's defeat and the end of World War II, presented China's growing military power in front of 50,000 guests and spectators. The parade, very choreographed, took place in the Tiananmen Square in Beijing and was an opportunity to present a new hypersonic rocket with a long range, underwater drones and even robotic wolves.
“It seemed very, very impressive,” Trump confessed. “But I understood why they did this,” he added. “They hoped I would look at the event and looked,” Trump said.
“My relationship with everyone is very good,” assured the head of the White House. “We will find out how good it is in the next week or two,” Donald Trump added, probably referring to possible sanctions.

Previously, Trump had written on Social Truth that the three dictators who were at the center of the Beijing event conspirate the US by this solidarity demonstration.
The parade marked the first time that Xi, Putin and Kim stayed together at an event. Host XI stepped on the red carpet, with him Putin and Kim. It was the largest military parade ever organized in China, attended by 24 leaders, most of them outside the West.
While the parade was in progress, Trump posted a sarcastic remark on his social social platform. “May President XI and the wonderful Chinese people have a wonderful and unforgettable holiday,” the US President wrote. “Please send my warm greetings to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, while conspiring against the United States,” he added.
Asked on Wednesday if he had participated in the parade if he was invited, Trump replied: “It would not have been my place (there).”
The head of the White House did not refrain, however, to make a comment that reflects the frustration “I do not think that America, the United States, was recognized for the help of China in obtaining freedom,” Trump said, referring to the surrender of Japan in World War II, as a result of the launch of the US. “I was very surprised. I watched the speech last night. President XI is a friend of mine, but I think the US should have been mentioned last night, because I helped China a lot,” Trump said.
In his last post a few hours from Truth Social, Trump had said that the “big” question is whether XI would mention what the US president called “massive support and blood” that the US offered to China to help the Asian country to ensure its freedom. “Many Americans have died in China's struggle for victory and glory,” Trump wrote on Social Truth. “I hope they are honored and rightly mentioned for their courage and sacrifice!” added the US president.
