The newspaper asked for a comment to the Kremlin and the European Commission, but has not yet received a comment.

On Sunday afternoon, von der Leyen went from Warsaw to Bulgaria to meet Prime Minister Rosen Żeliazkow and visit the Ammunition Factory. The head of the EC visited Poland and Bulgaria to discuss actions aimed at improving defense readiness in response to the war of Russia against Ukraine.

– Russian leader Vladimir Putin has not changed and will not change. It's a predator. You can keep it in check only through strong deterrence, ”said von der Leyen during a press conference in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria is one of the most important European military equipment suppliers to Ukraine – he reminded “FT”.

According to Dziennik von der, Leyen left Plovdiv with the same plane without any problems.
