Pauleta (52 years old) will return to the field to “Legends Charity Game“, The charity event of the autumn to take place in Lisbon, on September 15. The former Lusitan striker, the first great symbol after 2000 for Paris Saint-Germain and the emblematic figure of Portugal, joins other former great footballers in a show to gather funds for the victims of conflicts in the world.
Pedro Miguel Carreiro Reset – on the full name – wrote history in Ligue 1 without ever playing in the first league in his native country, an aspect that he inevitably played a debut with reservations of Bordeaux's fans, but who did not prevent him from becoming the second best scorer in his first season, 2000-2001, with 20 goals in 28 goals. Three years later, he took the step to PSG, for which he quickly became a landmark of his generation.

Pauleta left the lawn for the Portuguese Federation Office
Originally from the Azore islands, Pauleta evolved at the start of career for modest clubs in Portugal, and then transferred to Spain, where he impressed to Salamanca and Deportivo to Coruna.
The consecration would come to France. At Bordeaux, between 2000 and 2003, he scored 65 goals in 98 matches, becoming a feared peak. The excellent completion, the smart placement and the efficiency in marking the head were the qualities that made the PSG transfer to it in 2003.
In a difficult period for Parisians, with financial instability and lack of performances in Europe, Paulet held the spirit of the formation on the Park of Princes.
The Portuguese was the club's all-time goalscorer until 2015, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic exceeded the record. His celebrations, with his arms outstretched like an eagle, marked an era for “Rouges-Et-Bbleus”, hence the nickname “Azore eagle”.
After withdrawal from the player's activity, in 2008, Pauleta chose to continue in football. Currently, he is the director of the Portuguese Football Federation, coordinating all representatives. In Azore, he set up a football school on Sao Miguel's native island, a soul project that supports children and adolescents from isolated communities to have access to sport.
And for PSG he works, as an ambassador. He is frequently invited to events, anniversary matches and marketing actions.

The discreet in the shadow of Figo and Rui Costa
Paulete did not have the brilliance of Figo or Cristiano's media force, but left his mark, through his successes, in the years of transition between the generation of Eusebio and that of the European Champions of 2016.
He debuted for the national team in 1997, in a friendly against Armenia, without having an international pedigree, but marking for the salami. His first final tournament was the 2000 European championship, played in Belgium and the Netherlands.
There, Portugal presented with a spectacular generation, with Luis Figo, Rui Costa and Joao Pinto in the foreground. Paulet was reserved at the beginning, but won its place and registered in the quarterfinals against Turkey. The Lusitanians would reach the semifinals, where they were eliminated by France through a golden goal.
Two years later, at the World Championship in South Korea and Japan, his national team had a disappointing path, being eliminated from the group phase, but Paulet took the moment of personal glory against Poland (4-0).
From the first touch of the ball, my goal is always to shoot. When I am in front of the gate, it's not playing!
– Paulet
The height of his international career was represented by Euro 2004, organized in his native country. It was the moment of a bright generation, with veterans and young people, Deco and Cristiano Ronaldo being at the beginning of the road. Paulete came after a prolific season in France, but he was not a better tour for him.
He scored only once, in the semi-final with the Netherlands (2-1). In the end, Portugal lost surprisingly with Greece, and many supporters reproached him for the lack of efficiency in the key moments.
It is regrettable as a team that does nothing but defend itself to become a European champion.
