A Poland's F-16 fighter plane crashed on Thursday during preparations for an air show in Radom, in the center of the country, and the pilot died, a government spokesman, according to Reuters and AFP announced.
“Tragedy at Radom, during the preparations for the plane show, a F-16 aircraft collapsed. Unfortunately, the pilot died,” wrote the Government spokesman Adam Szlapka on the X platform, specifying that the Minister of Defense is heading to the accident site.
The Polish press reported that the device collapsed on the track around 8:30 pm, Romania time.
The Radom's aviation show, scheduled for the weekend, was canceled.
Images broadcast by the Polish press caught the plane executing an acrobatic maneuver before collapsed on the track, where it caught fire.
