Costin Curelea announced the lot for the first matches in the Euro U21 2027 preliminaries

The Romanian Football Federation announced the lot convened by the new coach Costin Curelea (41 years) for the action of this autumn of Romania.

Romania U21 begins the qualifications for the 2027 European Youth Championship with two matches with Kosovo and San Marino. The match with the selected in Kosovo was scheduled on September 5 at 6:30 pm on the Emil Alexandrescu stadium in Iași. This is Costin Curelea's debut match on the U21 tricolor bank.

The match with San Marino will be away and was scheduled on September 9 from 9.30 pm.

  • Funders: Tony Strate (Victoria Guimaraes (FC Hermannstadt);

  • Midfielders: Eduard Radaslavescu (Constanța Lighthouse), Mihnea Rădulescu (Craiova University), Alexandru Musi (Dinamo), Ștefan Bană (Steel Galați), Lorenzo Biliboc (CFR Cluj), Cristian Mihai (Dinamo), Cătălin Vulturar (Rapid), Alin Boțogan (Petrolel), Luca Szimionaș Italy);

  • Attackers: Rareș Burnete (Juve Stabia | Italy), Atanas Trică (Cluj University), Ioan Vermeșan (Hellas Verona | Italy).

8 players from the convened evolve abroad. These are Vlad Rafailă, Tony Strata, Matteo Duțu, Robert Jălade, Antonio David, Luca Szimionaș, Rareș Burnete and Ioan Vermeșan. The rest of the players evolve in the first 2 stages in Romania.

Romania has been distributed in group A of the preliminaries for the European U21 Championship of 2027. The youth selected has an easy corridor.

The U21 “tricolors” are in group with the youth teams from Finland, Spain, San Marino, Cyprus and Kosovo.
