According to one of them, Trump discussed with Zuckerberg threats related to digital tax tax, which is imposed on the revenues of technology companies. Most of the finish line revenues come from ads addressed to Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp users.

On Monday, the president announced the introduction of additional duties to countries where digital tax is in force. He added that the USA and American technology companies are no longer a world “piggy bank” or “pushing”.

“As the President of the United States, I oppose the countries that attack our wonderful American technology companies,” said Trump in the entry on the Truth Social portal. He added that digital taxes, digital services and regulations on digital markets were created to “hurt or discriminate against American technology.”

As Bloomberg emphasized, Trump's comment re -ignited the dispute with US trading partners, which began long before the meeting with Zuckerberg. The website pointed out that American officials raised this issue during commercial talks with individual countries and the European Union, arguing that digital taxes unfairly hit American technology companies such as META, Amazon.com Inc. and Alphabet Inc., which is the owner of Google.

Digital services taxes apply, among others in France, Italy, Austria, Spain and Great Britain.

The finish line confirmed that its director met with Trump. It was reported that the conversation concerned investment in infrastructure in the country and the development of American technology abroad.

Since Trump's return to power, Zuckerberg has been trying to buy in the grace of the president, who once called him a “criminal” and threatened to put him in prison. Bloomberg wrote that the actions taken by Zuckerberg include a change in the company's policy regarding the moderation of content and diversity, a visit to the White House and MAR-A-Lago in Florida, as well as the transfer of a million dollars by the meta inauguration of Trump, in which the general director of the finish took part.

During a recent meeting in the White House, artificial intelligence was also discussed and plans to create a huge data center in Louisiana. On Tuesday, during the meeting of the Trump office, he praised this project. He told him that the data center would cost $ 50 billion, and expressed admiration for its scale.
