An explosion of a grenade launcher in the office of the then Police Commander -in -Chief General Jarosław Szymczyk remains one of the most unusual and controversial situations in the history of Polish services.
To this day, it raises numerous doubts – from the circumstances of the transfer of weapons in Kiev, through the security issues of delegation, to assessing the reaction of the institutions responsible for the protection of the most important state officers.

The mysterious e -mail “bomb” before the grenade lamp explodes at the Police Headquarters. The media write about the details
As “Rzeczpospolita” reveals, Latvian e -mail entitled “Bomb” contained a warning about the allegedly put explosive charge.
Message It was treated as a false alarm, especially since institutions in Latvia also received similar emails. A pyrotechnic inspection was carried out in the KGP building, which did not confirm the threat. However, the e -mail was not associated with the later explosion in the office of the police head.

Importantly, According to the daily's findings, officers preparing Szymczyk's trip to Kiev were not informed about the message. As they say, if they had such knowledge, the delegation would probably not take place at all. The case raises questions about whether the services reacted properly to the warning signal and whether the possible threat has been underestimated.
According to the journal, It is also surprising that as part of a wide audit conducted in the Police Headquarters under the rule of the Interior Minister Michał Kierwiński, the subject of the warning email did not flow out. This means that for many months after the incident, this circumstance was not publicly known.
